BIRKENHEAD MAYORALTY

REQUEST TO MR. G. MILLS A requisition, signed by most of the councillors and a largo number of residents,' requesting that be consent to nomination for a further term as Mayor, was presented to Mr. G. Mills by Mr. C. E. Campbell at a meeting of tbe Birkenhead Borough Council last night. Mr. Mills said lie greatly appreciated the representations made and the loyal support received from residents and members of the council. Ho had not intended to seek re-election, but ho was prepared to give tho matter further consideration and announce his final decision in a fortnight.
