MISSING MISSIONARIES

AUCKLANDER'S FATE NO FURTHER NEWS PEKING, Feb. 26 The greatest anxiety is felt regarding the safety of Mr. S. C. Frenchman, an Australian missionary, who established a station at Ning-kiang, southwest Shensi, four years ago, and who was captured by bandits. The whereabouts of his wife, who is an Englishwoman, is also a mystery. Nothing has been heard of the Auckland missionary, Mr. Hayman, since the report, over a week ago, that he was still in Hunan.

The fate of 20 missionaries, including 12 Australians, in Shensi, is unknown.
