DANGER PASSES

RISING OF THE THAMES SOME CASES OF FLOODING British Wireless RUGBY. Feb. 7 During the height of the northeasterly gale yesterday, which coincided with high tides in th<3 TJiames estuary, and the early morning tide to-day, a close watch was kept on the river banks, which are submerged in many places. Near Southend, at Gray's and Rotherhithe, some flooding took place. When the danger had passed official records showed that generally speaking the water had been three feet above the high tide level, but it did not reach what is regarded by the police as the general danger mark.
