GOLF IN BRITAIN
AMATEUR STATUS RULE 1 t CASES OF INELIGIBILITY (Received February 8, E. 25 p.m.) LONDON. Feb. 8 The British Golf Union's joint advisory council privately discussed the status of three amateur golfers, who are employed in the sale of golf goods. This makes them ineligible for the amateur championship under the latest ruling.
The council decided to send a communication from the St. Andrew's Club on the subject to the union for action.
