SPORT FOR TO-DAY

CRICKET AT EDEN PARK SEVERAL AQUATIC EVENTS A wide variety of sporting attractions has been arranged for to-day. There should be some interesting cricket at Eden Park, where Parnell will complete its match with North Shore on No. 1 ground. The game on No. 2 ground between Ponsonby and Grafton and that on No. 3 ground between King's Old Boys and Eden. University, tho leading team in tho senior competition, is playing Y.M.C.A. at North Shore.

Many of the larger yachts will be taking part in the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron's cruise in company to a point in the Hauraki Gulf, another aquatic event of interest being the Akarana Yacht Club's Cup Day harbour races for all classes of yachts and launches. Rowing fixtures will include the Sir Henry Brett Memorial Cup race for best and best fours, the event being under the control of the St. George's Club. Other races will bo for the Mason Cup and Maurice Caro Cup. Club and inter-club bowling matches will be continued this afternoon and t an athletic and cycling carnival will be held at Western Springs Stadium. Club championship events will be conducted by the Old Grammarians' Athletic Club on the Grammar School grounds.
