VISITING BOWLERS

OUTING BY MOTOR Further entertainment was provided for the wives of visiting bowlers yesterday when about 200 were taken for a motor drive. The cars, most of which were driven by Auckland bowlers or their wii r es, assembled outside the Town Hall, and from there commenced a journey along the waterfront road, through Howick and surrounding districts and finishing at the Ellerslie gardens where afternoon tea was taken. Following this a further drive was commenced, the visitors selecting a place to which to be driven. The outing was arranged by the New Zealand Bowling Association, the president, Mr. Raymond Sheath and Mrs. Sheath, acting as host and hostess.
