WAIKATO HOSPITAL

CONSTITUTION OF BOARD REPRESENTATION CHANGES [from our. own* correspondent] MATAMATA, Monday Proposals from the Health Department for a new basis of representation on the Waikato Hospital Board were discussed by the Matamata County Council on Saturday. In the new proposals the Matamata County Council was given one representative, but the Putaruru town district was grouped with the Rotorua borough and the Matamata town district with the Te Aroha, Morrinsville and Huntlv boroughs. Councillors held that such a grouping destroyed community of interest, and on the motion of Mr. J. W. Anderson, seconded by Mr. K. S. Cos, it was decided to reply that the council had no objection to the Putaruru and Matamata town districts being included within the county area.
