ALL BLACKS' MANAGER
SUPPORT FOR MR. MEREDITH
THAMES UNION'S NOMINATION
In addition to the many unions which have nominated Mr. V. R. Meredith as manager of the All Black team to tour Great Britain, the Thames Valley Union yesterday morning also sent in a nomination. Inclusive of the Auckland Rugby Union some fourteen unions have expressed their wish that Mr. Meredith receive the appointment. Although it appeared as if the Taranaki Union had nominated Mr. Meredith and afterwards the Hon. J. McLeod, this is not quite the position. The nomination of Mr. McLeod is subject to Mr. Meredith not being available. Mr. J. Prendeville. of Wellington, also accepts nomination subject to the same condition as that which applies to Taranaki. — HAWKE'S BAY NOMINATION mr; g. a. maddison supported [Bt TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Monday Mr. G. A. Maddison has been nominated by the Hawke's Bay Rugby Union for the managership of the New Zealand Rugby football team to visit England.
