Jan. 3 In the Sheffield Shield cricket match against Queensland to-day New South Wales in the second innings had made 286 for fotir wickets when rain caused the abandonment of the match. Fingleton compiled 108 and Kippax 40 not out. Oxenham took two wickets for 92.

Queensland won on the first innings by 177 runs.
