HOLIDAY SEASON INCREASE NO SERIOUS ACCIDENTS Tramway receipts during the Christmas and New Year holiday period show an increase of £l4lß, compared with the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a statement by the Auckland Transport Board. In the 13 days ended January 2 the revenue totalled £19,223, as against £17,085. The largest amount of revenue received in one day was on December 24, when tho shopping hours were extended. On that occasion tho receipts totalled £2334, an increase of £3l compared with tho corresponding day in 1933.

During the period under review the capacity of the board's plant was taxed to its utmost and the whole of the traffic was carried without any serious accident or delay.
