A GRACIOUS GIFT
At the Auckland Infirmary has just arrived a very welcome Christmas gift. It consists of two large boxes of shortbread, made by a renowned firm of Scottish confectioners, and its particular recipients are the old ladies residing at the institution. The thoughtful donors are the Lady Alice Fergusson, wife of Sir Charles "Fergusson, former Gov-ernor-General of New Zealand, arid Mrs. James Fergusson, wife of Admiral Fergusson. who is a brother of Sir Charles. The Admiral and his wife paid a visit to the Dominion some years ago. Each year since her departure, the Lady Alice Fergusson has sent some gift to the Infirmary at Christmas time, and her thoughtfulness is much appreciated.
