TRAINING TEACHERS
WELLINGTON AS CENTRE EDUCATION BOARD'S VIEW [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Wednesday The Wellington Education Board today adopted a motion that the training of teachers; should be resumed in Wellington, preferably by co-ordinating the training with that of Victoria University College. Members generally favoured the principle that there should be training of teachers here, but all were not agreed about the training being in conjunction with the University College, although no one voted against the motion. WTiat is really desired is the reopening of the Wellington Training College. Owing to the central position, some members regard Wellington as the proper place for the training of teachers.
