MAILS FOR ENGLAND
AEROPLANES AT DARWIN SEVERE DUST STORM (Received December 13, 1.15 a.m.) DARWIN, Dec. 12 The two Qantas aeroplanes conveying the Empire air mails arrived here this afternoon. They passed through severe dust storms after leaving C'amooweal. The Imperial Airways Astrea aeroplane, en route to Darwin to pick up the mails, burst a tyre on landing at Koepang. Th~ sister machine, Arethusa, piloted by Captain Taylor, also carrying niails, brought a spare tyre and both machines will leave Koepang for Darwin at daybreak to-morrow.
