WIDOW'S CLAIM FOR £2700 HUSBAND'S BROTHER SUED [liy TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] BLENHEIM. Monday 111 the Supreme Court this morning Mr. Justice Blair delivered reserved judgment m a case in which the widow and administratrix of the estate of Charles Nicholson Dawkins, of Sydney, claimed to recover £2708 from Reginald Gerald Dawkins, of Picton, auctioneer. Plaintiff claimed that the money was lent to defendant, a brother of her husband, in 1920, and defendant claimed thai; the amount was a gift. Bis Honor found that the transaction was a loan and not a gift, according to statements in the correspondence between the brothers, and found for plaintiff for the full amount, with costß on the highest scale.
