SOUTH AFRICAN SCHEME SIR ABE BAILEY'S BACKING LONDON, Nov. 18 The Sunday Dispatch states that Sir Abe Bai'iey, South African millionaire, has agreed to back the greatest motorcar race in history on the occasion of the Johannesburg jubilee in 1936. The course will be from Algiers to Johannesburg, a distance of 8139 miles. The winner wilk receive £IO,OOO. Sir Abe said he had rejected a request to support an air race similar to' the Melbourne Centenary race.
