BENEFIT SOCIAL

A very enjoyable time was spent by all participants at a benefit social helcl bv Court Maid Marian, ladies' section of the Ancient Order of Foresters, iu the Foresters' Hall, Albert Street. Visitors from Courts Edith Cayell (Onehunga), Mil Desperandum (City), Balmoral, Newmarket, Ellerslie, Te Ba (Point Chevalier), Papatoetoe, and City of Auckland (Newton), were received and welcomed by the Chief Ranger, Sister 0. Piatt. Dancing was the main featuro of the programme, and a whistling solo contributed by Brother Rushton was much applauded. Sister 0. Piatt (Chief Banger), was in charge of floor arrangements, and the pianist was Mr. Marks, assisted by Brother L. White.
