HEAVY RAIN IN DUNEDIN
ONLY ONE MATCH PLAYED [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION'] DUNEDIN, Sunday Heavy showers caused an abandonment of play in four of the five senior cricket matches yesterday. In the. remaining match Grange secured a first-innings win against, Dunadin on the first day's play the previous Saturday and now leads in the competition.

SECOND SERIES COMMENCED [ from OCR OWN correspondent] PUKEKOIIE, Saturday The second series of matches in the Pukekohe Cricket Association's competition was commenced to-day, with the weather generally favourable. Following are the results: „ . , , t , l Colts (Pukekohe) v. W aiuku, at Pukclcohe.—Waiuku: First innings, 100 (Heise 47, Sampson 26). Bowling: R. Lawrie took four wickets for 24 runs, Hewitt four for 30. Wharfe two for 8. Colts: First innings, i 119 for six wickets (Blake 37, Taylor 46. Wilkinson 10 not out). Bowling: Heise one for 20, Whelan one for 14, Sampson one United (Pukekohe) v. Mauku, at Pntumahoe.—Maului: First innings, 80 (Adams 16 not out. Bone's 16, McFadden 11). Bowling: Harwood took four wickets for 12 runs, Carter three for 16, Fox one for 15, Pleydell one for 27. United: First innings. 158 for one wicket (Carter 52, Pleydell 92 not out). . Tuakau v. Waiau Pa, at Waiau Pa.— Waiau Pa: First innings, 97 (J. Wright 18, \I Brooke 19 not out, Cr. Clarke 16, R. Schofield 10). Bowling: Thompson six for 57, Coad one for 14, Carter three for 23. Tuakau: First innings, 75 for three wickets (Cartridge 3o not out, Johnson 24 not out). The matches will be completed next Saturday.
