TERRIFIED TELLERS
HORSE BREAKS INTO BANK Startled by the crash of breaking glass recently, tellers in the Bridgu Road branch of the Bank" of New South Wales in Melbourne, ducked their heads and reached toward their revolvers as a head broke through one of the main windows of the banking chamber. Instead of a "hold-up" man, however, the face of a terrified horse blinked at the terrified clerks. The horse had bolted three miles through the streets of Richmond, in the shafts of an unattended baker's van, and, after a narrow- escape from colliding with a fast-moving tram, had shied into the window.
