COLLISION WITH TRAM THREE PERSONS INJURED TWO MEN FAIRLY SERIOUS DOMINION ROAD ACCIDENT Three people were injured, two of them fairly seriously, when the motorcycle and side-chair on which they were riding came into collision with a tramcar and capsized opposite the Capitol Theatre, Dominion Road, about 10.30 last night. Those injured were: — Mr Harold Leslie Woolstenholme, aged 27, single, of 21C Graham Street, City, head injuries. . Mr. William Kahn, aged 26, married, of 769 Dominion Road, concussion. Miss Ruth Giese, of 446 Queen Street, City, injury to the shoulder. All were taken to the Auckland Hospital, by a St. John ambulance. At a late hour the condition of the two men was considered to be fairly serious. Miss Giese's condition was not serious. Both the motor-cycle and the tram were travelling toward the city. In order to avoid the tram, Mr. Kahn, who was driving, swerved in; toward the kerb and struck a parked motor-van. The machine swung back on to the tram, and was carried along for about 20 yards before capsizing. Mr. Kahn was thrown off at the moment of impact, but the two passengers were carried in the side-chair for some distance before being thrown out. The motor-cycle was severely damaged, the side-chair being wrecked and the chassis broken. The parked van, which was owned by Mr. H. Allsopp, of 24 Buxton Road, Point Chevalier, received only a bent mudguard.
