PROCESSION AT THAMES
LABOUR DAY DISPLAY LIST OF PRIZE-WINNERS [from our own correspondent] THAMES, Monday Heavy rain marred the Labour Bay procession at Thames this morning, although it did not deter many people from visiting the town. Sports were held in the High School ground, but were interspersed by heavy showers. Prizes were won as follows: — Symbolic Trades Display.—Miners' Union. Tradesmen's decorated vehicle: Thames Fisheries, 1; Grahamstown Store, 2. Decorated vehicle other than motor-car: Dutch scene, 1; Maori troupe, 2. Decorated perambulator: F. Bowden, 1; J. Lonias, 2; A. Gardiner, 3. Decorated bicycle: 13. Walker, 1; B. Wilton, 2; It. Lomas. 3. Best original S. Tangve, 1; A. Bennett, 2. Best comic displav: Hospital nurses, 1; O. Walker, 2.
