TUG PICKED UP
ALL ON BOARD SAFE MISHAP IN CHINESE WATERS (Received October IS. 6.5 p.m.) HOXGKONG, Oct. 17 The British minelayer Adventure picked up the salvage tug Taikoo at 2 a.m. The tug was labouring heavily and her starboard engine was out of action so that she could not be turned northwards. There was only two days' supply of coal on board, therefore she cannot return to Hongkong and is being escorted by the Adventure to Tourane Bay. All on board are safe.
