AN AFTERNOON TEA
Flowers in shades of yellow arranged in crystal vases and bowls on the tea tables in the Reception Hall at Milne and Choyce made charming "decorations at the afternoon tea which was given by Lady Sinclair-Lockhart to a large number of her friends yesterday. Palms and foliage plants made an excellent foil to their bright colouring and were arranged in the centre of the room and also on the stage. Some lovely flowers including roses and lily-of-the- . valley were also presented to Lady Lockhart, who received her guests wearing a frock of leaf brown georgette with capelet effect over the sleeves embroidred in brown and a wide brimmed brown Tagel hat with the crown covered with flat yellow and russet brown flowers. Songs delightfully sung by Mrs. Chisholm McDowell, Mrs. Humphreys Gordon and Miss Nancye Hanna, and recitations by Miss Noni Wright were very much enjoyed as were the selections played by the Milne and Choyce orchestra.
