CARRIAGE BY MOTOR INTERPRETATION UNDER ACT [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Thursday A notice in the Gazette issued tonight announces that the regular carriage of patients to hospitals by motorvehicle shall he deemed to constitute a passenger carrying service in the terms of section 30 of the Transport Law Amendment Act, 1933. The section of the Act quoted states that, if the Governor-General-in-Council is satisfied that persons are being carried by motor-vehicle in such a manner as in effect to constitute a regular public service, ho may, whether or not persons are being so transported for hiro or reward, declare such manner of transport to be the carrying-on of a passenger service within the meaning of the principal Act. Thereupon it shall be unlawful for any person so to transport passengers, save • pursuant to the authority and in conformity with the terms of a passenger licence granted under part 2 of that Act. »
