Wednesday There was a large attendance at the official opening of the Tauranga South Bowling and Tennis Club's season, including visitors from as far as Katikati. The president, Mr. H. H. Clemson, welcomed the gathering, and thanked the Borough Council for metalling and improvements to the access road. After Mrs. Clemson hnd thrown the jack, play commenced between the president's and vice-presidents' teams, the former winning by 94 to P9.
