SURF LIFE-SAVING

BROWN'S BAY OFFICERS Although formed only two years ago the Brown's Bay Surf Life-saving Club has made excellent progress and this year it wop the provincial land drill championship and with it the Pirate Shippe Plate. A most successful two days' Carnival was organised in January by the club, stated the report presented at the annual meeting, and the club was represented irt all events. Finance had been a difficulty and the balance-sheet, showed a small deficit, but, several schemes for support were under consideration and should placo the club on a sound financial basis in the coming year. The members of the Pirate Shippe Plate team w->r-e presented with mementos of the occasion by Mr. E. Wyberg, the newlyelected president. The following officers were electedl atroti, Mr. S.
