DEATH OF CYCLIST
SEQUEL TO COLLISION YOUTH WHO DISAPPEARED The inquest concerning the death of a cyclist, Lionel Edward Willcocks, ! single, aged 42. of 23 Bannerman Road, Morningside, ..which occurred in the Auckland Hospital on August 9 following a collision with another cyclist in Williamson Avenue, Grey Lynn, on July 30, was concluded by Mr. W. R. Mc- • Kean, S.M., coroner, yesterday. Evidence lyas given that Mr. Willcocks was found injured on the roadside by a resident, who had been summoned by a youth to give assistance. The youth had subsequently left the scene of the accident and nad not been traced. Following Mr. Willcocks' admission to the hospital his condition had shown an improvement, until August 8, when he became worse and died next day. A verdict was returned that death was caused by a fracture of the skull anrl cerebral ' hemorrhage, brought about by a fall from a bicycle following a collision with a vouth whose identity had not been established.
