SOUTH AFRICAN VETERANS

There was a good attendance at a meeting of the South African War Veterans' Association last night. The president, Mr. W. G. Marks, presented a report of the recent annual Dominion conference of South African war veterans held in Wellington. A letter wus received from the Dominion secretary stating that the GovernorGeneral designate, Viscount Galway, was a South African War veteran, and expressing the hope that an appropriate welcome would be arranged. It was decided to defer the matter until a later meeting.
