GOODS WORTH £4B STOLEN MARRIED WOMAN IMPRISONED [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHURCH. Thursday Described by the chief detective as " one of the worst shoplifters we have had for years," Alice Maud Reeve, aged 39, married, was this morning sentenced by Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M., in the Christchurch Police Court, to three months' imprisonment on 16 charges of theft of goods from various shops, to the tptal value of £4B. The police said the woman, when arrested, had stolen goods in a basket and was wearing a fur coat valued at £l9, which was later discovered to have been stolen from another shop. Accused had admitted 39 cases of shoplifting over two years.
