The junior competition was successfully launched with six teams participating. This is the first time junior teama have taken part in n cricket competition in Whangnrei. In the senior championship competition Whangarei High School, 129 runs for nine wickets, declared (Miller 48), played Onerahi, which lost, six wickets for 88 (Fyfe 54. not out). The match wrs drawn.
