OBJECTION TO CAMPS
MARRIED IRELIEF WORKERS 100 MEN REFUSE TO TRANSFER [by TELEGRAPH—PRESii ASSOCIATION] CHKISTCHURCH. Friday Ort'o hundred married men who have been ordered to transfer from relief work in the Mew Brighton district to work at Ashley camp unanimously decided at a meeting this morning to refuse to go to camp. Men affected by the Unemployment Board's order and about 50 other unemployed men attended the meeting, which carried a motion objecting to work at Ashley and all other camps. The instruction to report to the overseer was carried out, all of the men refusing to go to camp and giving family jreasoos for the deckiom.
