OLD STORY MODERNISED

The story of 2000 years back, when a Healer came to the ten lepers, has been put into a modern setting by Mary Winter in her novel " Where Are the Nine? " Ten people in widely different walks of life are stricken by the scourge of leprosy, and are sent to the island. A healer came, as Christ came, and only one returned to give thanks. The story is divided into sections portraying the lives and characters of the ten victims. From a psychological as well as a human point of view the book is intensely interesting.

" Where Are the Nine? " by Mary Winter. (Wright and Brown.)
