BRIDESMAIDS ADMONISHED

Lack of appropriate head-covering by bridesmaids at recent fashionable weddings is causing a good deal of displeasure among the officiating clergy at some of London's churches. The present vogue of wearing a narrow ornamental band or a flower poised behind each ear does not comply with the rule that women's heads should be covered in church. In many cases the blame can be ascribed to dressmakers, who in their desire to make tho bridal retinue look as attractive and original as possible forget the age-long convention.
