ROTORUA FORUM OPENS MANY AUCKLAND DELEGATES [by tklegraph—own corbespondext] BOTORUA. Friday The Rotary Forum was opened at the Geyser Hotel, Whakarewarewa, this evening, when the president of the Auckland club, Mr. G, L. Taylor, wel* comed those present. There was an attendance of about 80, 40 of whom were from Auckland. The other centres represented were Hastings and Napier. Apologies were received from the Gisborne and Whangarei clubs for not sending delegates. The Hamilton representatives will arrive to-morrow. An addre's; on some Rotary ideals was given by Mr. W. J. Holdsworth, of Auckland who also recounted some of his experiences on a visit to America! A humorous address by "Mr. Blake," who was in disguise, was an interlude which was much appreciated. Moving pictt res were shown of a cruise by Rotarian, in the Hauraki Gulf and of views of Tongariro National Park, A golf tournament for the Proud Cup will take place to-morrow. The cup was presented in 1928 by Mr. W. Proud, of Sydney, who was so impressed by the hospitality received from the Auckland Club duung a visit to New Zealand that he donated the trophy. For the past several years it has been competed for only by members of the Auckland Club, but the competition is now open to any of the clubs attending the forum. Tennis and bowling matchep also *lll be .held.
