CANTERBURY SECRETARY [by telegraph—press association] 1 CHRISTCHTraCH. Pridtf ' The secretary of the Canterbury Education Board, Mr. C. R. Kirk, announced to-day that he would retire on superannuation at the end of th# year. Mr. Kirk joined the service in Westland in 1893, when lie was secretary of the old Westland Board.
