CABLE TRAFFIC
INCREASE IN RECEIPTS A substantial increase is registered in the estimated traffic receipts of Cable and Wireless, Limited, formerly known as Imperial and International Communications, Limited, for August, compared with August last year. The index figure is 70.7, as against 65.9 for August, 1933. The figure for July was 68.9. The working day average of coiyjjarative receipts, taking 100 as the index figure for 1929. for four years up to August, is as follows:
The index figures represent the estimated monthly receipts from traffic as related to the comparable traffic in 3929. The lowest index figure since 1929 was 61.8 in August, 931.
