MINISTER DEFEATED
SEAT IN TASMANIA FEDERAL LABOUR VICTORY LAUNCESTON, Sept. 21 When the distribution of preferences in the poll for the Bass seat, Tasmania, was made, Mr. J. A. Guy, Assistant Minister of Commerce in the last Government, was defeated by Mr. H. C. Barnard, Federal Labour. The final figures were: —Mr. Barnard, 11,984j Mr. Guy, 11,818.
