Whitcombe defeated Faulkner, 3 and 2; Havers defeated Weston at the twenty-first; Martin, who had beaten the title-holder, Alliss, in the first round, defeated Green, 1 up; liobson defeated Bradbeer, 3 and 2; Smith defeated Taggart, 1 up; Busson defeated Jarman, 3 and 1; Chevalier defeated Seager, 5 and 4; Pierpont defeated Seymour, 3 and 1.
