COLLAPSE UNDER CAR
CONTRACTOR FOUND DEAD OVERCOME BY ENGINE FUMES [BY TEMGRAPH —PBESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON. Thursday When changing a tyre in the garage at his home yesterday afternoon, Mr. Frederick Stewart was overcome by fumes from the engine of his motorcar and was found dead. He was a builder and contractor of Island Bay. He had the engine running, apparently to warm it up, and was underneath the car when found an hour after going to start it. Mr. Stewart, who was 42 years of age, leaves a widow and three children!
