OPPONENTS FOR MR. FORBES [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHURCH,. Friday An Hapuku farmer, Mr. Gordon Hamilton, announces that he will contest the Hurunui seat as a Liberal candidate at the next election. The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, is member for Hurunui. Another candidate for Hurunui was announced last month. He is Mr. D. C. Davie, originator of the Douglas social credit movement in Canterbury, and a farmer at Waikari for many years.
