STRUCK BY MOTOR-CYCLE
man critically injured CYCLIST ALSO IN HOSPITAL [BY TET.KC.RAPIT —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHURCH. Fridny An elderly man, Mr. Alfred Reginald Newbury, of Kingsley Street, Svdenham, and a youth, Victor Savers, of Fisher Street, New Brighton, were admitted to the Public Hospital this evening unconscious, and suffering from head injuries. Sayers, on a motorcycle, ace identally struck Mr. Newbury in Carlvle Street, Sydenham, shortly before seven o'clock. Savers later recovered consciousness, but Mr. Newbury, the base of whose skull was fractured and who lost much blood, is still unconscious and in a critical condition. CAR COLLIDES WITH POLE COMMERCIAL TRAVELLER HURT [BY TELEGRAPH—PRKSH ASSOCIATION] INVERCARGILL. Friday A visitor to Invercargill, Mr. George Townshend, a commercial traveller who occasionally visits Auckland, was taken to hospital this evening suftenng from head injuries received when the motorcar he was driving came into collision with an electric-light pole. His condition is reported to be serious, but not critical.
