TIMARU, Thursday One woman was killed and another was seriously injured in a motor accident which occurred on the Kurow Road, four milen from Duntroon, this afternoon. The vroman killed was Mrs. G. Stringer, wife of a farmer at Otekareke, and Mrs. F. McArthur, of Omarama, was injured. Duntroon is 28 miles from Oamaru. The car was being driven by Miss Greer, of Kurow, who had four women passengers. The vehicle left the road and, after turriug two somersaults, landed on its wheels in a paddock on the left-hand side of the road facing the direction from which it was travelling. Dr. McMillan, of Kurow, about 14 miles away, was called, but Mrs. Stringer had died before he arrived. Mrs. McArthur was taken to the Oamaru Hospital in a serioun condition.
