REPRESENTATIVE MATCH DEVONPORT SHIELD FINALS A representative hockey match will be played at Remuera to-morrow aftornoon between Rodney and Auckland. As Rodney is one of the strongest subassociations in the province, being the holder of the White Horse Cup, a keenly-contested match is anticipated. The final series of matches in the Auckland Hockey Association's senior grade competition for the Devonport Shield will be played at 1.50 p.m. St. Luke's is at present one point ahead of Somerville and, consequently. chief interest will centre in the games between St. Luke's and North Shore and Somerville and University. The third match will be between Wesley and Papatoetoe. Knock-out competitions will be held ih the second and third grades and by the ladies' association. SECOND GRADE FIXTURE The following additional second grade fixture will be played to-morrow under the control of the Auckland Hockey Association:—University v. Philomel, Naval ground, Devonport, 2.30 p.m. WOMEN'S TOURNAMENT \ MATCHES IN CHRISTCHURCH [by TELEGRAPH—PRESS association! CHRISTCHURCH, Thureday The final round of section matches in the women's hockey tournament was played to-day. In A section Marlborough won, with the score of 10 points, Central Otago and Otago tiding for second placft with 6 points each. In B section Canterbury A and '•Ruahine tied, for first place and they will pluy off to-morrow morning. In C section Eastern Southland A won with 10 points. The winner of the Canterbury A and Ruahine match will play Eastern Southland A in the semi-final and on Saturday the winner of this match will play Marlborough in tho final. Results to-day were:—A section: Otago, 3, beat Wellington, 1; Wairarapa, 6, heat Canterbury B, 2; Marlborough. 1, beat Central Otago, 0. B section: Ruahine. 3, beat Canterbury A, 1; Eastern Southland B, 2, d"!w with Akilio. 2. C section: Ashburton. 2, beat North Otago. 0; Eastern Southland A, 3. beat Southland, 0; Bush, 4, beat Soxith Canterbury,. 0.
