NORTH AUCKLAND CONTESTS [by telegraph—own correspondent] KAIKOHE, Thursday A girls' basketball team representing Whangarei visited Rawene and Kaikohe to-day. At Rawene the visitors played the Rawene Old Girls and won by 18 points to IG, and they also beut Rawene school by 28 points to 14. At Kaikohe they met the Mangonui County representatives and were defeated after a lively game by 16 points to 5.
