Matches played in the first round of the senior championship resulted as follows: J. H. Young beat C. S O. Woods, 5 and 4; T. Morpeth beat P. Harrison, 3 and 2; R. J. Graham beat E. E. Beehan ut tho 21st; U. A. Dacrc bent L. J. Williamson, '1 and 2; J. Murray beat A. B. Jpplin, 7 and 5; A. J. Good beat H. L. Robson, 4 and 3; J. Cnrnachan beat R. L. Wilson, 5 and 8. The second and final round of medal play for the Self Cup wa ß also played in conjunction with the other matches, a and resulted in a win for M. Fraser Smith, who, with a handicap of 15, returned two net cards of 70 and 72. The next best were J. H. Young (2), 76 and 73; H. T. Thomas (16), 78 and 71; B. T. Laycock (10), 79 and 70; L. G. Ansell (13), 73 and 77.
