OLD BOYS' REUNION
MOUNT ALBERT GRAMMAR FUNCTIONS AT WEEK-END VISIT PAID TO SCHOOL The annual reunion of the Mount Albert Grammar School Old Boys' Association was continued over the weekend. The smoke concert was held in the school hall on Saturday night and yesterday afternoon a largo number of old boys visited tlio school farm and later the School House. There was an attendance) of over 230 at tho reunion in the school hall, including a number of country old boys. Mr. 0. S. Hintz, president of tho Old Boys' Association, presided, and representatives of tho old boys' associations of Auckland Grammar School, King's College, Sacred Heart College and New Plymouth Boys' High School were present.
In proposing tho toast of the school, Mr. Hintz referred to the success of 6ld boys in the spheres of scholarship and athletics. He congratulated tho school on its continued expansion and its varied achievements. In reply, tho headmaster, Mr. F. W. Gamble, congratulated tho association on tho attendances at reunion functions and appealed to the older members to take an interest in their juniors and in boys just leaving school.
The toast of Kindred Associations was proposed by Mr. It. S. Harrop and responded to by Mr. T. Webb (Auckland Grammar School), Mr. B. Kingston (King's College), Mr. G. Foy (Sacred Heart College) and Mr. E. Boulton (New Plymouth Boys' High School). In proposing the toast of absent old boys, Mr. D. Sumner read tho roll of those who, unable to attend, had sent messages to the assembly. During the evening, a framed series of aerial photographs of tho school was presented to the headmaster on behalf of four members of tho association, Messrs. G. Fisher, J. Atwell, A. Breckon and D. Wftod. A programme was provided by Messrs. Dan Flood. L Stuart and J. P. Stuart, and there was also a fencing exhibition. Community singing of old school songs was conducted by Mr. A. R. Gatland. About 70 old boys visited the school yesterday afternoon and, after inspecting the farm established for instruction in agriculture, visited the School House, where they were welcomed by tho matron, Miss Maindonald, and entertained at afternoon tea. . Tho reunion will conclude to-night with the annual ball at the Peter Pan Cabaret.
