TIMBER AND COAL [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] NELSON, Saturday The chairman of tho No. 7 Transport Authority, Dr. Gibbs, replying to questioners regarding tho authority's decision to allow unrestricted haulage to the railhead, but to allow no direct competition with the railways in the carriage of timber and coal on tho same route, said: —"If you can afford two means of transport, then we would not be hero talking transport to-night."
A Voice: Is it in tho form of a warning P Tho Chairman: This is more than a warning.
