BODY FOUND ON BEACH

RESIDENT OF PONSONBY l'he hodv of Mr. William Hunter Paton, aged Go, married, 11 Wharf Road, Ponsonby, was found on Wallaco Street boach, Herno Bay,> at 6.30 a.m. on Saturday. Mr. Paton, who suffered from paralysis and a nervous complaint, left homo at 8.30 on Friday night to go for a walk, and when ho did not return a search was instituted. An inquest was opened on Saturday before Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., coroner, and after evidence of identification was taken, was adjourned sine die, the coroner ordering a post-mortem to he carried out. Deceased had a cut over an eye, the police report stating this probablv was caused while the body was in the water.
