HEALTH IMPROVING FIRST WALK FOR WEEKS (Received August 16. 3.45 p.m.) NEW YORK, August 15 A wireless message from the Byrd Antarctic expedition at Little America says:— It is reported from the Boling advance base that Rear-Admiral Byrd's health already is on the mend. Assisted by members of the tractor crew to-day he took his first; walk for many weeks. In spite of his physical sufferings Admiral Byrd kept up his scientific record, which is complete.
