SOCIAL AFTERNOON
A "bring and buy" afternoon, which took the form of a social gathering, ivas held yesterday at tho residence of Mrs. G. Loyden, Hurstmere Road, Takapuna. Tho object of the function was to raise funds for St. George's Women's Society (Takapuna Presbyterian Church). The joint hostesses were Mrs. Leyden and Mrs. T. Hanna. A competition was won by Miss Reynolds and Mrs. R. Walker was in charge of the stall. Among those present were:—Mrs. R. Johnstone (president), Mrs. R. Walker, Airs. Downard, Mrs. Robertson, Mrs. Hopkins, Mrs. G. Howie, Mrs. Steel, Mrs. Doull, Mrs. Hamilton, Mrs. Baldwin. Mrs. Wallace, Mrs. Wilkins, Mrs. S. Russell, Mrs. v Canton, Mrs. Shaw, Mrs. Trinder, Mra. K. Carter, Mrs. Murdock, Mrs. McNeilly, Mrs. J. McGregor, Mrs. S. Vaile, Mrs. Craig, Mrs. Von Sturmer, Mrs. Mahon, Mrs. Drvden, Mrs. J. Buchanan, Miss Mclntyre, Miss Rushbrook, Miss Clarke, Miss Western, Miss Reynolds. ; ;
