ANNUAL GIFT DAY The annual gift day of the Now Zealand Bible Training Institute was hold in the Institute Building yesterday afternoon and was attended by a largo gathering of members and visitors. The guests were received by the president of the ladies' committee, Mrs. R. A. Laidlaw, Mrs. Liston Wilson, vice-presi-dent, Mrs. J. W. Kemp and Mrs. S. Barry. Gifts of produce, including vegetables and jams to bo used in the institute were displayed on large tables in the entrance hall A brief outline of the work of the institute in preparing students for service in New Zealand and abroad, was given by Mr H. Yolland, who said that since the inception of the institute in 1922, 120 students had been sent to foreign mission stations. After a tour of the building the guests were entertained at tea in the dining hall, which was charmingly decorated with bowls of golden calendulas, irises and Iceland poppies. A programme of vocal and instrumental items was presented by Miss Civil, Miss Carter, Miss Freeland, Miss Watson, Miss Neville, Miss Byars, Miss Bout, Mr. B. Carlisle, Mr. N. Fountain, Mr. Hobern and Mr. Cole. The ladies' committee comprised:— Mrs. R. A. Laidlaw. Mrs. J. W. Kemp, Mrs. Liston Wilson, Mrs. S. Barry, Mrs. Cornrie, Mrs. H. G. Fountain, Mrs. E. Jones, Mrs. A. M. Roborts, Mrs. A Sanders, Mrs. Bruce Scott, Mrs. G. Wilson, Mrs. J. Wilson, Mrs. W. Mains, Miss Grantham.
